The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
The Fault In Our Stars isn’t one of those books that you can put down, and then continue later. It grabs your attention in the most interesting ways. Many people think ‘It’s a cancer story, I don’t want to read a sad story.’ But that’s not true The fault In Our Stars shows true love between the main characters in such a realistic way it makes me think that it’s actually a true story.
Not only does the main character, Hazel have troubles, but her friend Augustus does too. They both learn to accept them, and live the best they can. The world isn’t a wish granting factory, you have to make your own wishes come true. When Augustus doesn’t stop to make life the best it can be, you learn a shocking secret that’ll keep you on your toes.
I’ve recommended this book to so many people because I think John Green’s point wasn’t to make us cry, but to show us that everyone has life hard. Some more than others, but we all have it hard and we have to live life to the fullest. Nobody knows when their last day is, but Hazel and Augustus knew that already. When they met, it was in the dreaded support group and Hazel thought life wouldn’t get any better than what she had. She soon found out that she was wrong. She met her Love and they did amazing and fun things together. When something bad happens Hazel is upset, sad, and just gloom, but in the end she realizes that she had a infinity, within numbered days.
The obstacles in life make it hard, but they make us stronger than before. A pixie haired, 16 year old girl lives with Thyroid cancer in her lungs, but she lives on stronger than ever. This book had me up reading non-stop until I finished. It gives you laughs around almost every page and a smile never left my face. It had me cheering and crying at the same time. John Green has made this one of my favorite books ever! And I highly recommend it.
