E.lockhart,Sarah Mylnowski,and Lauren Myracle, the authors, of How To Be Bad, a novel which written from the perspectives of three different girls. The three girls were: Jesse,Vicks, and Mel. Mel is the new girl in town who is just trying to make new friends and fit in, Jesse, a religious girl who is trying to escape from some bad news, and Vick’s, just wants answers from her boyfriend Brady.

The three girls lived in Florida and worked at the waffle house. The girls take an adventure to go find Vick’s boyfriend Brady. While the three girls are are on their road trip they start to learn a lot about each other and how alike they actually are.The whole idea of the road trip started when Vick’s boyfriend stopped contacting her when he left for college. Throughout the novel vick’s heart gets broken and friendships are put to test.


I enjoyed How To Be Bad. At first Jesse hated Mel because she seemed like a snobby rich girl, in the end Mel becomes Jesse’s only true friend. The authors made the novel come to life in a way where any teenager can relate to the emotions throughout the story. I especially enjoyed how the authors developed the characters, in which at first they started off on bad terms ;however, in the end they become family like and see the best in each other. i enjoyed the novel because it relates to many of teenagers lives and because it is exciting and thrilling.
