In this book the author wrote about two high school girls on there first days of high school. Border Town takes place in Dos Rios, Mexico. Malin Alegria's style is formal and yes it suits the intended audience. The audience for this book is teens because it is about being in high school. The point of veiw is first person point of veiw. I recommend this book to others because it tells you about the high school life and you get a lot of action. In my opinion this book is very good because it is entertaining and interesting.
This book is interesting because Fabiola had a cousin named Chuy that worked at there family resturant who got beat up.
It really left a mystery to the family because they couldn't think of who could really dislike him.
Also, Fabiola is a layed back person who didn't like people messing with her family. She had a sister named Alexis who didn't want to listen and beleive her sister. She always thought that she is better than everyone, but she is liked. It is also entertaining because there are a lot of fights and things in that happen during the first week of school at Dos Rios High. You should really read this book because you will not be able to get your nose out of it.

Malin Alegria, the author, achieved her goal for this book. This book is really good because she tells you a lot of details and you can find a lot of interesting things in the story. For instance, Santiago get blamed for something he didn't do and goes to jail. In my opinion, this is one of the interesting parts of the story. I wish this book was made into a series of movies (which this book is) because I beleive it would be my all time favorite movies to watch. I think most of the teenagers in eighth grade or in high school will really like the book because it will relate to them or already has. You should really go and read this book if you also like mysteries.

Border Town is one of the best books I have read I have to say. She expresses the drama field things that happen in high school and you can learn a lot. I think it should be one of the best sellers out there and made into a movie. I am telling you, that it is awesome. Go read it everyone!!
