I really loved this book; this is a good book if you are around the age of 14. Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes was a very interesting mystery. I would defiantly recommend this to other teens or peers. Denise is a very good writer, she impressed me a lot. Mostly the book kept me on the edge of my seat, dying to find out what happens next.

In this book, there is a girl named Rose. Rose works at the DMV, and one day at the DMV she was assisting a man named Daniel Crocker. Suddenly she fainted normally this doesn't happen, but when she fainted she had a vision of her dying. Her visions are usually stupid things like you need to take out the trash or something not related to herself, but then she was sent to her house, but rose didnt want to go home to her mother, so she went to her sister Violets house. Rose lives with her mother, and they do not get along at all. However Rose does listen to her, so her mother tells her to bake her two pies for church. Reluctantly Rose said no,then Rose leaves for the day. Coming back home was dreadful, there on the couch lies her dead mother, a part of her felt happy, then a part felt scared. Everyone in the neighborhood accused her of doing so. Later on a new neighbor Joe McAllister moves in and helps her on her quest to prove she was innocent.

Personally I would give Twenty Eight and a Half Wishes 5 stars. I'm ready to read the next book " Twenty Nine and a Half Reasons."
