My Book Review
Book title and author: Safe Haven, Nicholas Sparks,
Title of review: Safe Haven
Number of stars (1 to 5): 5

Introduction: This book is about a woman who is married to a police officer and they have a lot of marriage problems. Her husband was very verbally and physically abusive. She finally had the courage to run away from home. So she moves and finds a new home and meets someone else and they live together.

Description and summary of content: After she ran away she changed her name and hair. She ended up in a small and quiet town. There at the town she got a job as a waitress. Now she also got a small cottage and met a woman by the name of Jo. Jo was her neighbor and they did so many things together. She met a man by the name of Alex. Alex had 2 young kids and just recently his wife passed away. Alex and her finally got together! Her ex-husband found her and tried burning and killing them all because he was so sick in love with her. Finally after everything they had all been through, Alex gave Katie the letter from his diseased wife. In that letter it said to his husbands new wife all these things she would like and that she hoped they would live happy, she treated her kids like her own, and just that she could be remembered. Now at the end of the letter it said from Jo.

Evaluation: This book was amazing! I felt like I was actually in this book. In the book it gave life lessons and it told about things that could really happen. But most importantly it talked about finding love for someone who actually loves you and doesn’t treat you bad. Since I read the book, I also had to see the movie! The book and movie are exactly the same. It was a great book and I would mainly recommend it to women or teen girls.

Conclusion: The conclusion is that Katie got away from her abusive marriage. She didn’t have to deal with the physical and verbal abuse anymore. She found true love with someone who loved her for who she was and actually cared about her. She helped take care of his kids also. They lived happily ever after. I loved this book a lot and a lot of this stuff can happen. This book really made you feel like you were in the book. It also made you not want to put the book down.
