Jessica Warman, 2012, 480 pages

Elizabeth!!! Pretty, perfect, and popular. Or WAS she really? Elizabeth Valcher celebrated her eighteenth birthday on her family’s yacht. During the night, she woke up to investigate a thumping noise. What she found will change her life. The idea for Between came from an incident in Jessica Warman’s childhood. A local boy went missing after a party on a yacht. He was eventually found alive. But I kind of get it when you drink you may feel good but it’s not good for your health. The interesting chapter I like is the introduction. It’s interesting because when you read this book you can just picture what will happen during the book. Also as you read you will feel like you are a part of this book as I did. The author Jessica Walmer achieved her purpose as a writer.
The writer was effective, powerful, and beautiful. The strengths of the book is when Elizabeth stands up to her friend and says “ stop being a brat, stop crying, and tell the truth”, to me that was a mind blowing way to say that, but cool. Now the weakness of the book is that the book mostly used middle school words that high school words but at the end she starts to use a lot bigger words. I agree with the author’s agreements and conclusions. My overall response to the book is that, I absolutely like it. I find it interesting, and motivational. All of my thoughts on this book were professional and over welling. The book left me with sad and mad looks, because I was pretty upset that it ended, but happy because I was thirsty to read more of the book. I hoped all of the readers who read this amazing book, will learn from this outstanding book and will enjoy it as much as I did.
