The book Just Breath by Susan Wiggs is about Sarah Moon, a comic artist for a newspaper in Chicago, her hometown. Sarah has never really caught a break in her crazy life; her recent misfortune has brought her a cheating husband Jack, who recently overcame cancer. Due to Jack’s cancer it made him infertile, and so Sarah had to go through monthly insemination. Sarah is a person that anyone could relate to, she is a very unorganized beautiful woman who is practically invisible to everyone around her. This seemed like an unlikely mate for her current husband Jack. Jack, on the other hand is a very wealthy, organized man who everyone was friends with. He was the type of person who looked like he had a perfect life. Since Sarah’s life decided to take 360 spins, she decided to run away from it all. She told herself to be like her alter ego, Sheryl, in her comics and do something daring. So, she did what all in-shock-divorcee’s do, and she took her ex-husbands prized possession, and drove to the other side of the country to Northern California to be with her family, instead of her cheating husband. She tests herself in a lot of different scenarios now that she is all by herself, to see if she can. This novel will be great for women who need a little push in their lives looking for the empowerment to do something, or even cope with a situation. It is beautifully written and inspiring I would give this book a four and a half stars, for the whole idea of the book, and where the author went with it, which leads to an unexpected ending
