A story on James J. Braddock

The story of James J. Braddock will inspire you, and show you how good your life really is. If you were to walk into a book store and glance at the title of the book ‘’Cinderella Man’’ you would most likely not even think twice about picking that book up. However James Braddock got the name Cinderella man from his rise from poverty to the world heavy weight champion of the world. Not only will boxing lover’s ardor this book, but a person who wants to be inspired will definitely want to read this book.

This story was about a poor man who needed to make money to put food on the table for his family. With a successful career in the amateurs Braddock would soon turn pro. His career would not start out so sound, and he had a difficult time winning fights as the new man at the pros. Although he would not start out to a good start he new in the back of his head that he had a family to feed at home. With his family on his mind Braddock would train till his knees would quiver and he would be exhausted. All the hard work that Braddock put in the gym would not go without success in his future. The first big break for Braddock was win he won an upset over Griffin by TKO. Braddock was a major under dog in this fight, and he only had two days to prepare for it. After the TKO Braddock scored over Griffin he went on to face a man by the name of John Henry Lewis. He went on to defeat John which set him for a shot at the world heavy weight championship of the world. Although this fight was a great one at the least it was also a very risky one. Max Baer the man who was currently holding the world championship at the time was Braddock’s opponent. Baer was a very dangerous fighter already killing two men in his recent fights. The time came when it was ready for the two men to step in the ring and face each other. The fight was a very brutal fight, but Braddock dodged Baer punches all the way to a win. Braddock was announced the new heavy weight champion of the world. Not only did Braddock do a fantastic job of winning the fight, but he did it half starving. If only everyone could have as much heart and desire as Braddock had.

Overall this book was an excellent book to read. It was a very well written book, and it gets you thinking how good your life really is. With excellent descriptions of Braddock’s hard times put into this book you could almost feel his pain yourself. I highly recommend this book to anyone. It is quit in inspirational story! So you should really go pick your copy of the “Cinderella Man”. You wont regret it!

As you can see I widely adore this book. I can say that this book is one of my most beloved books. I’m not saying that you absolutely have to read this book, but what I can say is that you will get a lot of enjoyment out of this novel. So for all of you book lovers and just those who need a little inspiration in their life here is a book for you.
