Book title and author: Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Title of review: Greatest Book I’ve ever Read
Number of stars (1 to 5): 5

Introduction: One day my older sister told me of a book that she had to read in her ninth grade honors English class. She told me that this book would make you laugh and cry and truly suck you into the story.

Description and summary of main points: I completely loved the book. The book is about two friends, named George and Lenny, who eventually form a kind of “family”. Lenny is described as a huge, lumbering man who’s shapeless and has the mind of a child. George is the complete opposite, being quick witted and protective of Lenny. I am a much accelerated reader for my age, having already read War and Peace, and I usually troll around for longer books that use language that I would. However, this book is almost a pamphlet compared to what I usually read, capping out at only 107 pages. What I did not realize is that the simple yet descriptive words Steinbeck uses to vividly show every scene to a point that you feel as though you’re standing right there next to all of the characters.

Evaluation: The book is incredible. This book deserves five out of five stars, two thumbs up, awesome book.

Conclusion: I think that this book was Steinbeck’s way of saying that doing the right thing can be hard sometimes, but it really does need to be done.

Your final review: I recommend this book to anyone who needs a good quick read. Sometimes in life, you just have to enjoy the little things, and stop and play with the rabbits.
