Have you ever been in the same class with someone for years, but they’re just to surrounded by friends that they don’t even notice you? Then one day all of their friends are gone and they actually notice you. Well, that how Jamie felt with her soon to be best friend and lover.

Landon and Jamie have been in the same classes for years, but never spoke a word to each other. Well, that is until Landon gets in trouble and is sentenced to community service, and Jamie being the sweet pastor’s daughter, volunteers at the elementary school were Landon’s service must be completed.

This book is one of the best books I have read in years. It was an amazing love story that changed my opinion about books. I usually don’t love reading, but after I started this book my eyes were glued to the page and my hands nailed to the binding. I recommend this book to all, but it more so favors women.

Overall, this book ends with the tragic death of young Jamie. However, before Landon lets here go they get married in a little white church by Jamie’s father.

This book is great and I promise you won’t want to put it down. The romance draws you in, but the drama keeps everything interesting. It’s the perfect combination for a novel by the wonderful Nicholas Sparks. If you love the book so much you want to experience it again but don’t have time to read, don’t fret it has been made into a amazing movie with Mandy Moore playing the young lover, Jamie!
