This review explains my thoughts and feelings on this book.

This book called The Complete Collected Poems by Maya Angelou is about Maya’s thoughts and experiences throughout her life. This book tells me how successful Maya is.My favorite poem by her is called, Poor Girl. It makes me think about my past relationships with people and how it made me feel and some things. I had several flashbacks to those days. Maya’s words can create mind pictures or make you wonder about your life and how your story went.

The writing was so powerful, effective, creative and beautiful, mind picture making it wanted to make me cry the way she expressed herself through her poems. Maya Angelou is one of the world’s most exciting women I have seen just put their story out to the world. Her poems are like her shadow-painfully, revealing, honestly engaged and hurting with the pain of being a women.

Maya’s poems are her, the eternal female. She inspired me to keep doing poetry and publishing them. I advise you to read this book and you can learn something about a black woman’s survival in this world alone.
