The book Umbrella Summer is based on a brother’s sudden death and how you shouldn’t dwell and constantly worry or you will never kind of forget about it. I think this book was a very good book. It is very realistic and if you are trying to cope with a death this book would definitely help you. It is very entertaining for a young audience under 14 and maybe even for older people. It keeps your focus; even though it isn’t really that interesting at first once you get towards the middle it’s hard to put it down. This book meets its criteria, and it gets to the point. It has some unfamiliar vocabulary, but other than that it is a fairly easy book. It tells you a lot about how you can help yourself cope with a death or even someone being very sick. In other words, I think this is a very well developed book and I recommend people to read it.
