The Army in Action

My book is The Army in Action by Susan Sawyer is about the Army and the many different branches of the Army. I think this book should be read by older children because it is about the Army and the other branches of the Army and that may be harder to understand for younger children. I do think this book is a good book, but not a great book. This book gives good information on the Army, the National Guard, the Army Reserves, and ROTC. It also gives information on the wars fought, why people say they want to join the Army, the weapons and technology the Army uses and other things like what the units like squads, and platoons are composed of, and it tells you the pay grade of the different ranks in the Army. The book also tells about earlier wars like the Civil War, and it says how the war was fought, who won, how it started, and who fought in this war. It is a good book, but I do not know how other books like this one are so this book could be a bad book compared to other books. So I think this is a good book. I think it is great that this book includes information about the Army, and the other branches of the Army, and I also think that it is great that the author of this book included information of different wars like the Civil War, and the technology that the Army uses. Overall I think this is a good book for older children and adults.
