Though this novel is rather short is explores many areas. The historical aspect of it is phenomenal, for it plants an interest in the reader to find out more about the era while giving much information without ever dulling the book.

Unlike most romances, the one in this book with the young heroine and an artist, is not so apparent and predictable as others...but just as delicious. The novel shows us that growing into a teenager and then an adult is not so different in the Renaissance as it is now.

In short, the novel was succulent and impossible to put down. Though set long ago, you see the similarities from back then and today easily. You will be surprised from start to finish, for it is not a predictable book...thank God!
