Charlie Bone and the Hidden King by Jenny Nimmo
When you get into a series that is always in front of your face than you know that you have found an amazing book. The Charlie Bone series takes you back to a time when a king in red had powers that even I today dream of. He is the Red King. The generations that followed him where known to split in to two sides. The destinies of these descendents would change the world, as we know it, for the better or worse.
This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. This book is full of mysteries that have yet been discovered. Each page has lets a bit of magical dust jump out at you. It is a wonderful experience to read this book but I advise you to read the first books in the series, since you don't want to get lost with all the references to previous books.
When you do choose to read Charlie Bone and The Hidden King make sure that your next couple days are free, because you won't be going anywhere or doing anything else until you finish.
