The Kid Can’t Miss by Russell Almon
The marauders have one of the worst basketball teams in the league. They meet this girl who makes a basketball for them called the spider. When you shoot there has to be no spin. Only one person on the team can do it. He turns into the star of the team. He starts hanging out with all the popular kids, and he gets all the hot cheerleaders his team starts to not like the whole spider thing. They don't use the spider anymore and they still win the champion ship, because the bad players in the beginning of the season step-ed it up and won it for the team.
