The Eleventh Plague, by Jeff Hirsch, is a book about a 15-year old boy Stephen Quinn who was born in the middle of a world-ending plague that has crumbled the world like a piece of paper. Stephen and his dad were among the few who survived the plague called P-11. Now Stephen and his dad are scavenging in this broken world, but Stephen's dad gets into an accident, it leaves Stephen worried with only his dead grandpa’s thoughts in his head. A group of people find Stephen and his dad, and they offer to help bring him and his dad to a place called Settler’s Landing, a community that looks like it wasn't touched by P-11. There, Stephen meets a girl named Jenny who is Stephen’s age, who never accepts things as they are, finding themselves playing a prank that goes horribly wrong making their lives change forever.

       The Eleventh Plague is an action packed science fiction book that I enjoyed very well. I loved this book because Hirsch always made every chapter get more and more interesting which kept me reading this wonderful book. This book is so interesting I would recommend it to anyone. I'd also put this book in my top ten because it is more interesting than almost all the books I've ever read.
