The book Restart, by Gordon Korman, is a realistic fiction book set in modern times, in middle school. The book is about a boy named Chase Ambrose, Chase is a 13-year-old boy who is the captain of the football team he is most famous in town for his athletic ability to play sports but sports it is not the only thing that makes him famous. In Restart, Chase fell off the roof of his house therefore wakes up to realize he cannot remember anything about his life in the past 13 years. When he gets back to school most of the people at school do not like him at all the rest of the story is just him trying to figure out who he is. This book has a person vs. fate type of story because it was his fate to fall off the roof and forget everything he did to people that ended up making things better for everyone also him.

When I read the back of Restart it sounded exciting and a good read, but when I look, back most of the book was just a lot of him in school waiting for his memory to come back and not knowing why everyone was mad at him. But Gordon Korman did a good job of making his book unique every chapter is a different point of view so you know what every character feels in the situation. There was a little bit of action and running around, but most of the action is just the same seven people getting beat up. If you are like me and like to read books with action and readers with an unpredictable twist at the end this would not be the book for you. In conclusion, I feel like this book could have had a better ending with something a little bit unpredictable to other people they will say this is a good book but did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
