All American Boys Book Review 

All American Boys is about a black kid named Rashad who loves art and a white kid named Quinn who loves to play basketball. This book takes place in the present day, in a city called Springfield. While Rashad is in a gas station, he bends over to get his phone to ask his brother for money, and a lady trips over him the cop thought that he was stealing the chips and he assaulted the lady, and Quinn saw it and knew he had to do something about it.

The book All American Boys is written by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely; they do a great job making connections with characters and pacing the book. Overall, this is a pretty interesting book because the conflict and suspense had me on the edge of my seat. Another reason I like the book is because of the book being seen in two different perspectives, one as Rashad and one as Quinn. The genre of this book is realistic fiction. I recommend this book if you like conflict, suspense, and being on the edge of your seat. The age recommendation I think should be 14 and up because of language and violence. This is a good book for you if you like fighting racism.
