The science fictional novel Fahrenheit 451 was written by Ray Bradbury in the 1950’s. Bradbury created a stunning and breathtaking novel with multiple messages throughout the novel, and his meaningful and such direct themes. Bradbury focuses on social concerns specifically throughout the novel. The book takes place in a small town, in which the government made the law for books to be banned. Firefighters then take over and start burning any existing book in town. In the novel, new technological devices are created, and their role is to take over the books. Everyone in the town agrees and stands with the law except for a strange girl, Clarisse. Clarisse is introduced in the beginning of the book, and later passes away in the middle of the book. She is considered the odd character, meaning she understands what the government is doing, and how they are trying to get inside everyone’s heads. Clarisse opens Montag’s eyes, making him realize and want to make a change for the community.

Once I started reading the first few pages of Fahrenheit 451, I will admit, I had struggled comprehending what was occurring and could not fully understand the first few pages. Because of my situation of not being able to understand the literature, I decided to follow along an audiobook while reading the novel, which in fact, did help me rather than reading the book by myself. The reason for the difficulty in reading was because of the writing format and strategy Bradbury has written Fahrenheit 451. The book would go slow pace, then fast pace, and such. Although, that is what makes the novel interesting, the way the author has written his piece.

Other than having difficulty in reading and understanding the novel, I absolutely enjoyed every little piece of it. I was amazed and the plot line stunned me. I am personally not much into science fictional books, but Fahrenheit 451 really interested me. As I was reading, I could picture what I was reading in my head, as if I were watching a movie at the same time. What amazed me the most was how this book was written in the 1950’s, and Bradbury wrote it for a reason, he intended to prevent from what occurred in the book to happen in the future, and after reading the novel, I can say he has proven the future. I definitely recommend Fahrenheit 451 to anyone; the book will amaze any reader.
