“In life, we often make decisions that aren’t easy. But it doesn't mean they aren’t right.”-Until Friday Night. Now, reading this book should be an easy and right decision because of how uniquely put together it is. If that quote doesn’t sum up the whole of this contemporary romance, I have no clue what will. If that's what the reader is into, all the cheesiness in the world but yet none at all this book is the one. “Until Friday Night” by Abbi Glines is, in my opinion, the perfect mix between the two.

       Wattpad seems to be a pretty popular app upon our generation of book lovers. It is an app that regular everyday people get to share their stories; sharing them for free. With sixty-five million viewers a month I sure think that is proved true. Now, I personally go there because I’m somewhat ashamed of how cheesy and lovey-dovey these books are to actually carry one around. The books being on a phone or tablet is the perfect way to avoid this shame. Being able to read all the bad boy and cliche titled books is great. When I first saw received this book I thought “Oh no, can’t ever read this in public.”.  But over time that proved to be false. A novel this great is something worthy to share with all my fellow cliche-loving people.

       As I said before if the reader is into all the cheesiness in the world but yet none this book is for perfect. With our slightly cliche bad boy “West Ashby”, and our quiet girl “Maggie Carlton”, that is exactly what I believed to be expected. Now when I say quiet I mean quiet; Maggie doesn’t talk at all. With trying to move past a heart-shattering tragedy, it has caused her to think talking will bring her spiraling back down. Moving to her aunt's house in a different town, different school, West Ashby has the chance to save her. She starts talking again, but just to him. Furthermore, West still isn’t the only one who needs saving. A dad close to death, but no one knows; Except for Maggie. Seeking silent help West confides in Maggie and a friendship forms. But is it more than that?

        The majority of books like this tend to get a tad bit boring in the middle; whereas in my opinion, the middle is the best part of this novel. Most of the time cheesy romance books always seem to have the climax at the end of the book. Then there’s the time of being stuck on edge with no appropriate ending until they make a sequel. Although, other novels have the climax in the middle and this book has exactly that. Then it’s time to sit down, grab some popcorn, and enjoy a whole load of ooey-gooey cliche stuff. And if the reader is like me, they might just gain a slight attachment to our heartthrob West and possibly cry a little.

         Now if the reader is super picky about how a book is organized, this book is perfect! It has just the right style of font and size! Nor does it have too long of chapters where it just seems to drag on like “I woke up, got dressed, got in my car, and drove to school. Then I got home took a shower and went to bed.”. I mean I’m not hating on those but it seems to be a vicious and unrealistic cycle some books tend to have. One of the main troubles, readers could have in this book is the switching back and forth of characters between chapters. I don’t have any trouble with this but I know of people who do. I feel Abbi Glines does a great job of transitioning back and forth so someone who struggles with that could still read this novel. It’d definitely be worth a shot!

         Between the novelty of the wattpad cheesiness with a spin, the book in itself, and how its organized is all reasons I feel any reader should give this contemporary romance novel a chance. And don't fret after this book is finished there's still “Under the Lights” and “After the Game” following in its cheesy footsteps.
