Percy Jackson”a half god or demigod that has to fight monsters” (Riordan 87) with his friends Grover, Annabeth, and Thalia to keep Olympus from falling. Percy receives an urgent call from Grover and he brings Annabeth and Thalia along, who are both demigods. When they arrive at a school they fight off monsters and come across two half-bloods with a mysterious past ”no one knows where they're from”(Riordan 23). After being saved by the hunters of Artemis they take them back to camp half-blood and the goddess Artemis is kidnapped by monsters. Annabeth also gets kidnapped and they have to face their fears head-on and their pasts come back to haunt them.

The Titan's curse is a turning point in the whole book series, and it brings a deeper meaning to the characters. This is true for Percy because he used to be reckless and becomes more mature and thinks things through. He realizes how his choices affect his friends and the fate of Olympus itself. The backstory of Mr. D the camp counselor shows why he is so negative towards the campers, and It gives him great character development. What I like a lot was the humor and the timing of it because even at the most serious moments it can be quite entertaining.  Annabeth and Percy show their feelings towards each other, and it is something great to be developed in future books.

I would recommend it more to teenagers because it has a lot of Greek mythology and lore. It also is a serious book that also manages to be humorous at the same time. Also, it has a lot of mythology and expands on it throughout the series. It seems more directed towards teenagers because of the characters age and feeling, also how you can relate to them. A big part of the series is its antagonists because there is a lot of them and they are very powerful and interesting. Another recommendation would be for people that are interested in Greek mythology. For example, older people that like fantasy fiction and enjoy imagination.

Overall it’s a great book with a great story and really adds to the Percy Jackson series.
