Percy Jackson is a teenager whose life changed after he found out that he is a demigod. When he receives a call from his friend Grover he knew that something was wrong and he was ready for battle. He goes on a dangerous adventure and during that adventure he has to save his friend Annabeth and the goddess Artemis from an ancient monster that they were fighting to save two powerful half-bloods. Meanwhile the titan lord, Kronos has prepared a trap for them and they have fallen for it as a result they have been challenge with the titans curse.

Throughout the book, we see that this adventure is different than all the other adventures Percy has had, but what makes it more differently is that they have to encounter the goddess Artemis and save her. Just two words that one of the monsters said at the beginning of the story affected the rest of the story. “Curse you” (Riordan 25). One of the things I really liked about the book is that we get to see a different side of Percy that wasn’t really clear or visual like in the other books, yet the book also shares more characters that make really difficult decisions. A part that I honestly didn’t like about the book is that some of the characters made selfish decision as I mentioned that was a part I like that they were faced with the challenge of a hard decision, but the decision one of the characters(Bianca) made “Nico can’t be a hunter” (Riordan41) was really selfish in my opinion.

Riordan really makes the plot structure easy to follow because I still get the idea of where I am in the story. By mentioning other gods we get to see how they will act if they were still here, in the modern day. Not only is that occurring but also there is more tension in the story and more curiosity to know more. This book connects two different time periods. The time of roman gods to now in days.

This book is really good for anybody that is interested in mythology. I personally recommend this book for anybody because this book is not only for teens. This book includes suspense, action and a bit of drama. You will enjoy the book just like I did.
