This story really pulled me in and a I couldn't put the book down. This book is nonfiction and really has great information and factual events. The main character Christopher McCandless lives in a rich family and hates it. I like him because he's not afraid to fit in or follow everyone else in their footsteps. He decided to live up to his lifelong dream and he's goes to live in the deep woods of Alaska. “Happiness is only real when shared” explained Chris, so he meets all types of dangerous and friendly people on the long way to Alaska. The information and writing style the author provides you with really opened my eyes to how this man wanted to live his life and why he did what he did. The book compared to the “into the Wild” film is very close. The author enjoyed the outdoors so he knew what he already knew what to write.  The author had time to sit down with family members and really get a feel for what chris was like. However nothing in Chris's life was going to prepare home for what was about to happen to him in the Alaska. The part of the book is so good you have to read it yourself to see what happens. “If we admit that human life can be ruled by reason, then all possibility of life is destroyed” - Chris
