Darkseid War Review

After Lord Darkseid died, all of his powers were spread to different heros and they had to live and decide if they wanted this power.  Making it a strain on the characters’ values and morals, seeing if they will keep the power or get rid of it. The authors, Geoff Johns, Francis Manapul, Peter Tomasi, Tom King, Rob Williams, Ray Fawkes, Steve Orlando, all worked together in a perfect way to make the story very likable.  With me being a huge graphic novel fan, the sci-fy, graphic novel really opens up about ideas of the world. DC comics published this graphic novel in 2016.

I love how these heros were portrayed, needing to live with the new powers of the new old gods or they have a new force inside their body and they are learning how to use it.  With one character and his new ability, he must either fulfill a prophecy and save a village and then go on to save this world, or he can rule with an iron fist. I love how other superheros were left with one of them being stripped of their powers, Shazam, having new old gods be part of his powers, losing his old ones and gaining 6 new ones.  Giving detailed stories of the characters and them living with the powers.

It is a good read, a tad lengthy, it keeps the stories interesting and in a normal comic book format.  Making it easy to follow with the characters and what new powers they have. Giving them detailed backstories, sometimes telling who the characters are and what got them to where they were when the powers invested themselves in the characters.

Making it relatable because we have all had things given to us we did not want or need, but having to use the things anyways.
