Memories
In life, your riches tumble from the sky
Your worth is chosen, proven through control
It fades off, corrodes, ends, for we all die
Possessions fail, I want what makes me whole
I want memories taken from our lives
A story that can be told ‘round a fire
For what are baubles worth when love survives?
Oh, those mem’ries are all that I require
Memories hold and make us safe and sound
A life of love is not shown through fine gems
Bring jewels and flow’rs and sparkling toys abound
I ask for love from which our tales will stem
Here I stay, watching the dancing and love
Forever waiting for what I dream of
