Nomad’s Eulogy
Good news, everybody! The man just walked
on the moon! Trust me, it wasn’t a con.
We have unlocked from the landlocked, deadlocked,
half-c***ed gun of humanity’s pylons.
The wait is over! The carriage is here!
Not horse drawn, of course, but powered by jets.
We have yet to explore this new frontier
Gather ‘round, everybody! Place your bets.
But, to the ancients that crafted our lore,
Parchments were not meant to be eternal.
When you break it down to its very core,
It’s one of the few things that’s nocturnal.
The pendulum of life swings in the balance
But, what will prevail? Wisdom or romance?
