Heartbreak
Sitting on the bed, lonely and so hurt
Crying for hours at a time, no air
Drowning in my tears, going through my shirt
How could I be so dumb? Now I can’t bare.
Hole in my heart, I thought you really cared
I fell for your smile, and gave you the world
And in return, you lied and now I’m scared
To love again, I cannot, I lay curled
Looking up, the sun pours into my room
Opening the window, breeze dries my tears
Swallow my pride, I realize I can bloom
From this, and quickly my doubt disappears
For heartbreak can be a beautiful thing
One step closer to true love it may bring
