When She Walked Away
I remember the day when she walked away,
When she turned from me, and turned towards him.
As the dead leaves fell, there was no more to say,
Because his false charm is what lured her to enter a life now dim.
She is only a child, she is only a girl, she is so innocent,
But she knows no better, and takes his hand.
I can do nothing now, because she lived in the moment,
But I can only hope she will not continue to cruise to that creature’s land.
He will strike her face, and he will pull her hair,
Because he is selfish, because he is ambitious.
She will scream, and I will come to her even when it seems unfair.
However, only she can take herself away from him so dangerous.
Every day, it will be him that consumes her life.
And someday, it will be her who turns to a release by knife.
