Brick Wall
It was going to be right, but it was wrong.
We sleep all night and don’t talk all the day.
The year slips by, the days are getting long.
Our lives go by and we pass like sun rays.
Strong and cold, his presence is a brick wall.
Emotionally unaware, he waits
For the family he lost - which is all
He wants and needs, and to be without, hates.
But yet, with all this need, he can’t get past
His past: to live the life that he deserves,
To realize his potential long last.
He must fix his gaze high and never, ever swerve.
I know with sorrow without a mother,
He will never learn to be my brother.
