Bleeding Heart
A mother is a bleeding heart,
pouring love upon her seeds;
Strength of her, a perfected art,
blowing one with the breeze.
Her strength creates a wall of root,
held steady with her loving binds;
Petals, as her armored suit,
planting hope into young minds.
Thus, creating a haven free,
seedlings prosper 'neath her wing;
Menacing threats choose wise to flee,
fearful of the vim she brings.
A mother's strength runs pure within;
Her bleeding heart pours once again.
