In Your Grasp
I gaze at you atop a cloud,
eyes lingering on beauty great;
My heart, enslaved, screams aloud,
and breaks the cage that holds it safe.
Love flits, a dove in feathered white,
lifting me off the solid ground;
Then, at a death defying height,
releases me to tumble down.
You see my heart fall into sight
and catch it in your grasp;
Preserved by your radiant light,
forever it will last.
Read my words above and see,
how much you truly mean to me.
