The Words Within
Clichè, the theme of love untold
begins my tragic story, sweet.
Dead, lies my stone heart so cold
but for you it begins to awaken and beat.
Twisted letters on wrinkled page
form weak and delicate rhymes
Yet potential grows in hearts of rage
and fates be intertwined.
My pages still remain unturned,
gravity holds the binding fast
Covers deemed by passèd burns
and never turning to page last
Someday this grasp may be defied
and I shall possess the words I've been denied.
