Stars, Beauty, and Your Eyes
If the universe was not there at all,
If stars and beauty were no longer skies.
Then I know where I would look come nightfall,
Not at the heavens, but into your eyes.
In my mind, they are not simply just eyes,
They are stars and worlds and beauty to me.
They’re my wish come true without them I’d die,
They are never-ending just like the sea.
Sparkling beauty is what I now see,
Reflections of the heavens in your eyes.
And then when dawn shall break, it will still be,
Your eyes’ beauty still surpasses the sky’s.
Even if the universe shined so bright,
Don’t worry your eyes shine brighter tonight.
