Poetry from Dave
What is it that makes me fight for our love
My mind wonders the street like a stray cat
Gathering the hopes as a injured dove
Love used to be as strong as Fielder’s homerun
Sometime even to good to be true
Digging for answers like the rush of 49
Racing to the finish line without a horseshoe
Never thought it would come this far for us
S*** seems so imaginary for love
We were picked up so our love would never rust
Flying as high as the injured dove above
So I can give you what I have for you
Never give up on fighting my love for you
