Childhood Innocence
The golden leaves are falling to the ground
I feel the gusty wind blow soft and cool
My childish energy has not a bound
I dance around the leaves just like a fool
The crunching underneath our pairs of feet
Comes with this ever changing time of year
I hear the sound of steady thump bass beat
Will never fail to pulsate in my ear
The crowded football stadium shines bright
The shining, orange sun’s high by the midday
Excited Halloweeners cause delight
The Halloween fever is here to stay
I now look back at distant memories
Of childhood innocence and endless free
