Struggle…My Struggle
I’m staring at the height of my past pain
But a body can be beaten for years
I’m trying to let go if it means gain
So I write to release and shed my tears
Often it’ll hurt but the struggle’s first
But at the same, letting go can mean change
You can deny it, but worsening hurts
Struggle is what it is, then it isn’t change
You have to hold on because it is strength
Even though I’ve pushed them out of my life
But a mile can mean an extra length
Please do not cry cause you have to let go
I cannot lie so I will let you know.
