Kid Brother
One day I seen my brother, looking as if he just cried
He came up to me, gazed straight into my eyes
And said “Mom always keeps me indoors
I can’t reach anything I can only touch the floor
You get to go to school, in here there’s nothing to do
I wish I can grow up already I want to be just like you”
I was so fueled with emotion; I almost choked
I came up with a notion; then I spoked
“You don’t want to go outside it’s filled with crazy people and cars
And one day you will be tall enough to touch the stars
School is as boring as can be
Your future will be bright because one day you’ll be better than me”
I wouldn’t lie to you Brother; I speak only the truth
Now go play and continue to enjoy your youth
