I let you control me for far too long.
You played me like a fiddle.
I could feel that there was something wrong.
It was that you cared too little.
Everyone tried to tell me to stay away.
You told me yourself you’d hurt me.
I never listened until the other day.
My blindness was gone, and I began to see.
You could never love me, so this only leads to pain.
That’s why I’m avoiding you. It’s the only way I’ll stay sane.
