Thank You
I loved him once with all my heart and soul.
I thought it would last for eternity.
We loved and laughed, forever as our goal.
But his last words became the end of me.
I missed him more than I could ever stand,
My heart burned with an agonizing pain.
It swallowed me like wet, black sinking sand.
He left, and I could not escape darkening rain.
I thank him now for revealing the truth in me.
Hatred melting away, with no regret.
I pray someday he will finally see,
Love is not something to ever forget.
It is a long journey to remember,
And it burns like a red, fiery ember.
