Dead Love
I am loved in death, beyond the last breath,
within the tomb my heart will never beat.
I feel her love, it scorches me in death,
her soul of ice no longer brings me heat.
My cold fingers do not touch her fair skin,
my lips no longer kiss those red red lips.
This is not a game I play, not to win.
Nor gain the feel of her pressed to my lips.
She is lost to me now, beyond my reach,
I cannot escape these walls which hold me.
Draining me dry like a blood sucking leech,
To my heart unlocked you hold the key.
Flown far from this life, gone now is my youth.
Love decayed, I know this to be the truth.
