I Would (Version 2)
I carried all your burdens
but you still complained.
I forgave all of your sins
but you stayed the same.
I took so many bullets
but yet you asked for more.
I fell apart, bit by bit,
but what did I do it for?
I scrambled through the dark
but you found a way to fall.
I sacrificed my heart
but you didn’t care at all.
I burned down a whole city
but it wasn’t bright enough.
I took so much shame and pity
but didn’t get any love.
I stayed up until the morning light
but you stayed out late.
I never slept another night
but you just couldn’t wait.
I slit my wrists and let them bleed
but you just walked away.
I gave up everything I need
but you wouldn't stay.
