Midnight Sun
I wandered across the frozen plains,
Wondering where is my next meal.
I pondered my plan
While my nose desperately looks for a hint of seal.
Across the frozen land of the midnight sun
A pack of Arctic foxes following me.
Go away! I yelled at the foxes. Scram! Run!
Don’t follow me!
They heeded my command,
Disappearing under the cover of the snow.
I trekked deeper into the heart of the harsh land.
The midnight sun lighting my way in the ice and snow.
I found a hole in the ice, hope filling me.
I waited and a seal peered up at me.
