Nature's Tragedy
Teardrops of the sky rhythmatically fall
Drowning the world in despair and sorrow
In the dark, no one will answer your call
Dreaming of a new and bright tomorrow
The colors of sunset drip off the sky
Fading into a cold, gloomy night air
Emptiness smothers you like a sad lie
Forced to descend the steps of heaven’s stair
Morning dew glistens on the blades of grass
Silence steals away the songs of the birds
The pond reflects the clouds like mirror’s glass
The wind rushes past, robbing you of words
No one witnesses nature’s tragedy
All secrets locked away without a key.
