Too Old for Fairy Tales
Am I the only on who still belives?
Or am I just the girl who never let go
Of once upon a time, a mid summer's eve
There lived a fair princess in her chateau.
The tale is well know, love at first sight.
Prince charming saves the beautiful princess.
His white horse takes them into the night.
Tale as old as time, classic but ageless;
No matter how old I may be growing,
I've held these fairy tales close from the start.
I wish on a star, all the while knowing,
Someday my prince will come rescue my heart.
I'll have my happily ever after,
Without a glass slipper as a factor.
