Mankind
You claim mankind is cruel
That over every animal he wants to rule
And yet when man makes a mistake
Realizing the number of hearts he did break
He sends gifts of love and flowers
Giving all that is within his power
When another country goes to war
Our president proclaims all is worth fighting for
Natural disasters and buildings falling down
Man does not stand by to watch and frown
He helps with all his might
Setting aside his differences when a common need is in sight
