A violent thunderstorm raved through the night
A lost husband walked through the sleeping town
The loud menacing thunder caused a fright
Raindrops fell calmly from the darkened clouds
Untouched, the husband walked throughout the night.
Forgotten sense of temperature had found
Unwanted numbness to his hazy sight
But there was no one to believe the somber sounds
From sobs previously restrained with all his might
Solitary but unseen and then he found
The path back to his stable unharmed life
But troubling worries persisted to obscure
Rapidly fading chances for a cure.
