The Beach Life Isn’t Easy

I saw a seagull flying at the beach.

He flew in circles looking for some fish.

I kept my picnic lunch out of his reach

And suddenly remembered my old wish.

To fly so high with clouds up in the air

Would be a dream come true for every child.

I’d fly as high as any bird, would he dare,

When winds blew strong or very mild.

Some days have wind that blow a bird back;

Against that force they try their very best.

If they could speak I bet they’ know the herd’s quack,

But since they can't, they fly without a rest.

I’m glad this wish of mine will never be

Because a seagull’s life is always an ever-flee.

This poetry peace demonstrates the rudimentary ups and downs in the course of someone's life, as they ponder those ups and downs while walking down a tranquil beach. The seagulls' struggles for flying during harsh winds represent the daily challenges of people's lives. Actually, the ocean is teeming with different species, all of which are trying their best to survive in nature's harsh environments. This is directly juxtaposed with the apparent tranquility of the beach, which follows Charlie Chaplin's quote, "life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot."
