Cardboard Box
Oh I don’t know what you’ve been told, but life’s always been this way.
Till the day that you and I grow old oh we will never ever beg them to stay-
Our, fears we’ve been living, our dreams which we’ve forgotten all these days.
A million miles away.
We live our lives in a cardboard box but we, get hurt over papercuts.
And one day we’ll take off our gloves and live outside again.
Oh they tell us not to play with the fox but, he doesn’t seem that dangerous.
Maybe all he ever wanted was someone to call his friend, so dream away.
See one thing that never ever made sense to me was, these ideas that we believe-
If someone’s not like you, then you gotta make them leave, well I disagree.
And all these years pass by when we’re just making up our minds, and I say-
Spend a little less time on thoughts, and a little more time on life and love oh.
Well this fox he’s calling me he say’s “tell me what is it that you believe? We’re all here for a reason and there’s always one to be. So are you here to make your own life better or, are you here to sing with me? You know it’s realists that are safe but it’s the dreamers who are happy.”
And I thought how can one person make a living with a life that’s so far gone? When it’s happiness that comes with giving, you know that you are wrong to turn away.
