Perfect
I used to stare at you
look at those perfect eyes and perfect face perfect shoes
they must have a perfect life
oh
But no
Your lifes bad to
I can’t stand not seeing you after all we’ve been through together
I used to wonder
What makes you perfect
but it's just a label no one deserves to use
No
Not me not me
not you not you
Don’t use it don’t use it
it’s a label it’s label
Your hair can be beautiful your face could be stunning
but that doesn’t mean you're perfect
Like a present with a tag on it
it’s labeled like you and me
oh
You want to see me
well baby this is me
If you don’t like it you better leave cuz baby This is me
labels and all
ohh baby
Show me you
Cuz I know you're afraid to
Don’t look at me like that
You know it's true
it's not just me and you

What inspired me to write this poem/song is that I've been through tons in my life and one of the things I've been through is that there was a girl and guy in my class that both seemed so perfect. I got close to the girl and she's not my bestfriend she showed me the real her scars and all- seriously she wasn't as perfect as everyone thought she had just a bad home life as other people i know she just put up a good front. She also cut herself it was her way of releasing pain. The boy didn't know his real dad and his step dad was an alcholic. The only person he had was his mom. My point is I hope by reading this that you learn to not judge others by how they look they could look perfect on the outside but be crying on the inside for help.
